The Catalina Foothills provides a perfect day for those who enjoy the outdoors. With so many parks and forests surrounding the Foothills area, it is hard to choose just one place to visit on your day. However, one day stands out as being perfect – and it would include a trip up to Mount Lemmon.

The scenic drive up Mount Lemmon begins with cactus plants at the desert bottom and ends at the top with evergreen trees and a ski valley during winter. Although the drive affords you the opportunity to stop at some of the many pull-offs to snap pictures of the unbelievable views, you may also opt to take the chairlift to the top and take in the picturesque scenery from above. During the off-season, the mountain is a great place for picnicking and hiking with 150 miles of marked and well-maintained trails.
