Play Ball, The Cactus League Experience is adding a new location at the Arizona Historical Society Museum in Tempe’s Papago Park. The 3,000 square foot exhibit will include more than 400 items that show the history of Cactus League Spring Training in Arizona. New items include a rare 1951 New York Yankees Spring Training program from when the Yankees were at Phoenix Municipal Stadium for only one year. There is also a silver serving tray engraved with the signatures of the 1954 World Champion New York Giants. The exhibit will look at the teams that have called Arizona home and the ways the teams impacted local communities.
